The Cavaliers have made headlines with their moves this year and they aren't done yet,
with this latest move they've shipped Varejao off and picked up Nikola Pekovic another capable scorer who averaged 17.4ppg and picked up a nice 8.7 boards a night. This is looking to be the most prolific offense in history, but not without some issues Varejao has been with the organization for a long time and for the Cavs to just ship him off like that might cause chemistry issues especially since Andy is one of LeBron's best friends. But like they say "business is business" and the Cavs are on a roll right now to dominate the NBA.

The Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers have agreed in principle to a deal that would send Gerald Wallace, and a 2015 Clippers 1st Round Pick to the Sixers in exchange for Alexey Shved. According to Chris Broussard

According to sources in the league Rajon Rondo could be on the move from Boston. Phoenix and Utah seem to have been the most talked about destinations for the All-Star and title winning point guard. Though Phoenix's recent trade with Brooklyn seems to have ruled them out. Leaving Utah as the most likely option. Othe rumored destinations have been Philadelphia, Charlotte, the Lakers and Memphis. Michael Wallace

The recent actions of the Toronto Raptors and previous moves made by the Philadelphia 76ers have lead many around the league and watching it to question the true competiveness of those in charge. With what many see as evidence of tanking has caused some to question whether the NBA will ever return to the levels of popularity it once enjoyed in the mid 80's to late 90's. There are those whos see these action as teams realizing that they have a lack of talent and depth and being willing to bet all hands on the future rather try to bid for mediocrity now. A simple plan of lose now, win big later. In Philadelphia it seems to be a sound strategy, one has to wonder what the plans are for Toronto. The Raptors were a team many saw as beng on the verge of breaking into the upper levels in the league. It was defitely a legitimate top 6 team in the East, for whatever weight that may hold. These moves by the Raptors have led to rumors of the GM being payed by ownership to actually tank the team. The trade of leading scorer Demar DeRozan was the first salvo the lead to the widespread rumors. The eventual trade of All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry only served to add further fuel to the fire.
