Power Rankings

(1) Spurs
The Spurs are chasing back to back titles which is the only thing this talented group of future Hall of Famers hasn't accomplished in it's 18 plus years together and with the core returning from last year, plus a promising draft pick in Kyle Anderson. In a season that may be one last hurrah the Spurs are hungrier than ever and that's a scary thought.

(2) Cavs
This group is number one easily on paper. They boast the most talented roster in the league offensively and you can't and you won't stop them from scoring, they are going to light some people on fire with that overwhelming offense. But they aren't unbeatable and their worst weakness might just cost them the title this year. That weakness would be defense. This team might be horrific on defense at times if Kyrie and Love haven't stepped up their games this year, which we think they have but we won't know for sure until opening day.

(3)Bulls
This a Bulls team that prides itself on hard-nosed, in your face physical defense. They aren't backing down from anybody and they just got their superstar back who looks healthy in Derrick Rose. This is a dangerous squad who looks to reclaim their spot atop the east.

(4) Clippers
This was a talented team who many say could've gone even further last year in the playoffs if it weren't for same major distractions (Donald Sterling). Blake Griffin has emerged as a true superstar in this league not just a dunker. This team is on track for another deep playoff run.

(5) Thunder
If it weren't for Kevin Durant's Jones Fracture this team might have been ranked top 3, but the rest of the squad is so talented they are still a top 5 team in the NBA, the only question is without KD how many shots will Westbrook chuck a game? All jokes aside without KD it's going to be hard to get home court advantage in the playoffs in the Western Conference.

(6) Warriors
This team has made some moves this offseason. They may not have gotten Kevin Love but they got bonafide star in Ty Lawson who averaged 17.6 ppg and 8.8 assist. that man is beast and will be coming off the bench this season behind Steph Curry be on the lookout for him to contend for 6th Man of the Year.

(7) Mavericks
The Mavs have made moves this offseason to bring them back into title contention with the signing of Chandler Parsons and the re-acquisition of Tyson Chandler. They may have downgraded at point guard but they are sure to make some noise even in the stacked Western Conference.

(8) Trailblazers
The Trailblazers bench is and has been questionable since last season and in the Western Conference you won't survive in the playoffs with a weak bench.

(9) Wizards
John Wall and Bradley Beal have one of the best and most explosive 1-2 punches in the league and don't expect them to slow down this year now that they've added and established veteran in Paul Pierce. Expect great things from this squad in the future.

(10) Grizzlies
The Grizzlies have won 50-plus games in each of there past two seasons, expect them to get there again with this squad.

(11) Rockets
The Rockets after losing Asik, Lin and Parsons are still a talented squad and they've acquired Ariza and Brandon Knight this offseason. Expect them to make some noise this offseason with the cap room they've got.

(12) Bobcats
They got Lance Stephenson on a bargain this offseason and the Bobcats are dangerous squad this year with all the talent they've got in Charlotte.

(13) Suns
The Suns traded away rising star Goran Dragic for the likes of former star Deron Williams, we are uncertain if Williams will produce like his superstar self, but we do know that if he returns to form it could mean big things for this squad.

(14) Heat
The Heat have acquired Kyle Lowry and Danny Granger this offseason now they won't be as talented as any of the Heat teams in the last four years but they won't bad at all expect this team to carve out 48 to 54 wins this season.

(15) Hawks
Sources say that the Hawks aren't sure if they are trying to rebuild or compete this year.  That lands them right in the middle of the Power Rankings.

(16) Pelicans
They probably won't make the playoffs this season, but expect Anthony Davis to make a strong campaign for MVP this season.

(17) Toronto
They traded Kyle Lowry for Mario Chalmers and Demar DeRozan for Oladipo. There is no logic behind that and some teams say that the GM is getting paid to a tank, all I know is that this team will not be good by any sense of the imagination.

(18) Knicks
Carmelo just signed a 120-million dollar contract and he has only missed the playoffs once in his career but even Phil Jackson and the triangle offense won't save them this year.

(19) Nets
I don't know about the Nets this year. Kevin Garnett is declining rapidly, Brook Lopez is injury prone and we don't know if Dragic will perform like he did last season there is a lot of If's on this roster and not a lot of answers

(20) Pacers
Paul George is out for the season and Lance Stephenson is gone. This offense will be atrocious this season and If Roy Hibbert plays like he did in the playoffs they might find themselves in the lottery.

(21) Nuggets
The only thing keeping them this high on the list is the "Manimal" that is Kenneth Faried.

(22) Pistons
Andre Drummond is a walking double-double and he's going to have to carry this team this season with almost no help.

(23) Timberwolves
The Timberwolves are on the rise again with this young athletic roster they've got and the two potential stars they took in the draft plus the addition of the resurged Anthony Bennett this roster has no where to go but up.

(24) Kings
Trading away Isaiah Thomas and Rudy Gay this roster's last hope of legitimacy is Demarcus Cousins continuing his rise to stardom and hoping Josh Smith doesn't jack up to many bricks along the way.

(25) Celtics
Whether Rondo stays or goes this season, the Celtics will not be good but they are stock piling talent and picks for a major move soon.

(26) Lakers
Well Steve Nash is out for the season and the Lakers won't be good but they will sell a lot of tickets with Kobe, Lin and Swaggy-P on board.

(27) Bucks
Milwaukee is a squad with a lot talent and upside, taking Jabari Parker in the draft and trying the find a position for the Greek-Freak Giannis Antetokounpo.

(28) Magic
This team might be in better shape than last year after trading Victor Oladipo for Demar DeRozan but they won't be good at all.

(29) Jazz
A lot of unanswered questions on this roster, Can Trey Burke and Dante Exum coexist? Will Exum become as star? We only know one thing for sure the Jazz will be bad this year.

(30)76ers
Well obviously the Sixers are tanking. They've reinvented the term draft and stash. Stockpiling boatloads of talent in Embiid and Noel, and with the upcoming drafts being this talented the draft picks they have might get them back in playoff contention real soon.
